Kodak Black Was Ordered To Rehab After A Positive Drug Test & He Deleted Instagram Again
A judge has ordered Florida rapper Kodak Black to 30 days in rehab after he allegedly tested positive for fentanyl while on bail awaiting trial for drug charges made back in July.
According to the Miami Herald, the rapper missed a court-ordered drug test back on February 3 and allegedly tested positive for fentanyl on February 8. According to AP News, a warrant for his arrest was issued on February 23 for violating his pretrial release conditions.
After the rap star went to the lab and submitted a sample that tested positive, his attorney, Bradford Cohen, suggested it may have been a lab mix-up, the Herald reported. The lab tech testified in court that it was possible.
However, the Herald also reported that when the judge offered the rapper a hair test, which can detect drug use over a period of up to 90 days, he declined (although Cohen said on Instagram that he never refused a hair test).
The judge ordered the artist to 30 days in rehab beginning on March 7, so that he wouldn't have to miss his scheduled performance at the Rolling Loud music festival in California on March 3, according to the Herald.
Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, is active on social media and was especially vocal in July when he initially spent the night in Broward County Jail after being arrested for the possession of 31 oxycodone pills and $75,000 in cash.
He then deleted his Instagram a month later after his arrest video was released, but reactivated it when he was promoting new music with DJ Khaled.
Now, the account is gone again, and he doesn't seem to appear on Twitter either.
